Sunday's Modesto Bee featured a story on the recently released UC Davis study Achieving Sustainability in California's Central Valley. According to the study Modesto was ranked 55th, out of 100 Valley cities, for the best smart-growth policies. The story, written by Modesto Bee reporter Garth Stapley, features quotes from both GVC president David Hosley and president emeritus Carol Whiteside.
